DeVilbiss Generator

This is a great offering as discussed on tonight’s Jars Prep Net.

I was offered a generator for sale from a friend at work. I have one that suits my needs and thought I would pass this offer along. My generator is from the same manufacturer as my friends and it is good quality plus the price is right.

This generator is a DeVilbiss and is rated at 5000 watt continuous 6250 watt surge output. Power is a 10 hp Briggs and Stratton gas engine.
The generator was run and tested right before the last storm we had a couple of weeks ago. He is asking $300.

Contact Joe McGinnis directly at 919-449-1216 and let him know Mike Foster gave you his number.

See ya later as I am breaking open the piggy bank to see how much I can scrounge. That seems like a heck of a deal to me!

Post Weather Tips

Certainly hope that everyone can tune in and give us a postmortem on how the winter weather and a power outage went for everyone. What did you learn that you can improve upon?

I am looking forward to turning on the radio tonight at 9:00 PM on the AK4H repeater as we have our weekly rag chew about preparedness. Whether you enjoy listening on your radio, scanner, or even echolink it is a check in driven net so if you have your technician license or higher feel free to hit the PTT button. If you have not gotten your ticket yet please let us know what we can do to help.

Non Lethal Defense

Non Lethal Defense

Do not forget this upcoming Wednesday is the Non Lethal Defense talk at McCall’s BBQ and Seafood. This is being taught by a certified Instructor (Shep) and covering Pepper Spray and Tazers. This is a great time to fellowship with like minded individuals and learn about non lethal defense.

Join us this Wednesday August 26th.

Location: McCall’s BBQ and Seafood Clayton,NC

Dinner is at 6:00 PM

The Class will start after dinner. Please note that McCall’s graciously allowing us the use of their meeting room for this event so please plan on paying for your dinner to help them.

We certainly appreciate McCall’s and Shep for putting this event together. Please bring your loved ones as this is not just limited to Amateur Radio Operators. This should help everyone with non lethal defense.
