Preparedness or Cult

There are many things that people bring up during the week, but this article reports a professor who questions whether it is preparedness or cult? This can lead to a great discussion. While many things that we do can be questioned as to why any sane person would want to pursue them I am not understanding why being ready is a bad thing.

Besides the poor enjoyment of Ham Radio there are some pretty good reasons to be ready. Just ask our resident Uncle Si and I am sure he will explain why it is important for the emergency communications and what he is doing as the Johnston County Coordinator for ARES.

Since our topics tend to be all over the place on our weekly preparedness net, which is a great thing, there is no doubt that we are prepared for most emergencies.
